Finished in Sherwood Green the car is in excellent condition and presents beautifully. A really lovely example.
It has just one previous keeper on the V5C and the current keeper has owned the vehicle for 22 years. The car had a replacement engine early in it's life (circa 45'000 miles) by Jaguar due to Nikasil issues so the car now has a 'steel bore liner' engine and also the chain tensioners etc have been upgraded to the latest specification. A real plus!
The bodywork is superb throughout and still looks very impressive even at 24 years old. No sign of any rust/damage or any unsightly areas or marks. The car still looks very sharp and smart. Only some very slight age related wear that is to be expected on a car of this age.
Inside the car is also excellent and is a lovely place to be. The leather seats are all in excellent condition with no major wear at all. Even the driver's seat is in great condition with no tears/holes or major damage. The wood work is all in perfect condition and the headliner will be replaced for new before sale.
The car wears its original Jaguar alloys that are in great condition and all shod with quality tyres with excellent tread. There is a matching full size spare.
On the road the car performs faultlessly, and it is clear from the excellent and vast service history and the wad of receipts/invoices that the car has clearly been very well maintained through its lifetime. The Jaguar starts on the button, has bundles of power from the excellent 4.0 V8 and is effortless to drive thanks to the smooth changing auto ‘box and the legendary XJ suspension which is free from any undue noises and offering a sublime ride. In my opinion as good if not better than a Rolls Royce from the same era?
The car has an excellent specification including, electric windows, electric mirrors, electric seat adjust, memory seats, 6 CD changer, original stereo etc etc.
This classic Jaguar presents beautifully and is sure to appreciate as time moves on and cars like this become rarer. A lovely old car, that will be supplied with a 12 month MOT a full detail valet and ready for a new owner to enjoy.
Supplies with all original service/book pack/2 keys/original tool kit etc. I'm sure any prospective new owner would be delighted with this car.
